Crude oil
Customer sent some samples of crude oil to see if a centrifuge can remove the water. These samples came from a slop tank of oil that normally has a high percentage of water requiring them to pay for removal.
The bottles are brown so it's hard to really see the color but it appears greenish black.
Initial samples. Very dark almost like used oil.
After one minute in the centrifuge you can see the water starting to drop. You can also see some particulate and a stratification of some heavier oil.
After about a half hour in the centrifuge you can see a clear break and a lot of water has dropped.
Close up showing the water that has dropped. I'm estimating that about 10% of the sample was water.
